How it works
Every occupant adds their own gentle breathing rhythm to the WiFi field, so the system knows how much breathing is happening and where. When air quality worsens, people quietly breathe a little faster — a shift the field picks up before the CO2 sensor at the far duct catches on. Ventilation can be boosted before anyone feels it.
In the physics: Each occupant contributes a breathing line at 0.1-0.5Hz whose collective spectral energy scales with the number of respiring people, and elevated ambient CO2/stuffiness measurably raises human respiratory rate — so the population breathing-rate distribution drifting upward is a physiological proxy for deteriorating air quality, sensed before the CO2 sensor at the return duct catches up.
