How it works
WiFi waves slow down and weaken noticeably when they pass through liquid — far more than through a dry mattress. A moisture event changes the signal around the bed in a way that stays until it is dealt with. Care arrives sooner, and dignity is preserved.
In the physics: Water has eps_r≈80 vs. ~1.5-3 for foam/textile, so even a few hundred mL of fluid in a mattress dramatically increases local permittivity and conductivity: paths grazing the bed acquire measurable excess delay (higher eps_r slows propagation) and amplitude attenuation (sigma rises). This is a static material change, not motion — invisible to Doppler but directly visible to CIR geometry and field reconstruction.
