How it works
Every solid object bounces signal with a timing set by exactly where it sits, so a room has an RF fingerprint the way it has a photograph. Move the safe, pull a server, take a pallet — its echoes vanish and new ones appear. Comparing tonight's fingerprint with last night's says what changed, and roughly where.
In the physics: Static objects define a fingerprint of specular multipath: each significant object contributes taps at geometry-determined delays. Moving/removing an object deletes its taps and creates new ones; the delay geometry (ellipsoids of constant TX-object-RX path length) triangulates where the change happened. This is scene structure, invisible to Doppler because nothing is moving at read-out time.
