Any process that moves water or minerals — brewing, curing, drying, freezing — changes how signal travels along fixed paths, in a repeatable way. Show the system the process once, start to finish, and it learns that trajectory. Afterward it can place any moment on that curve, like a gauge that never touched the vat.

In the physics: Any process that moves water, ions, or conductive mass changes eps_r/sigma along fixed propagation paths, producing a reproducible trajectory in (delay, amplitude) space per CIR tap. Because node and scene geometry are static, the trajectory is a stable low-dimensional axis: fermentation changes ionic conductivity, drying lowers eps_r, ice (eps_r~3.2) replacing water (~80) is a huge dielectric swing.

How we prove it

Own-hardware, three demonstrator processes with cheap ground truth: bread-dough/beer fermentation (hydrometer), lumber drying (moisture meter), freezer-coil icing (caliper); success = monotone axis tracking r>0.8 on held-out cycles for at least 2 of 3.
