Rhythmic-motor seizure detection in monitored beds and EMU
Detects the strong rhythmic shaking of a seizure and alerts staff, day or night.
The physics is solid; our own validation is scheduled.
How it works
A convulsive seizure shakes the whole body in a fast, regular beat — much more regular and forceful than restless sleep. That beat shows up clearly in how the WiFi signal wobbles. The system flags it and pages someone right away.
In the physics: Generalized tonic-clonic activity produces a highly periodic, large-amplitude limb/trunk oscillation at ~2-5Hz — a narrowband high-energy micro-Doppler tone far more regular and forceful than normal restless movement.

How the field becomes an answer
How we prove it
SenseFi/WiMANS for rhythmic vs. non-rhythmic movement discrimination baseline; own-hardware trials with an actuator/volunteers producing 3Hz rhythmic motion vs. video-EEG-annotated event proxies.
Who it is for
'Nocturnal seizure alert' — for epilepsy/neuro units and SUDEP-risk programs needing camera-free convulsion detection.
